There are many reasons why we can feel disconnected in today's modern society. We can lose touch with who we are, what matters most to us, or what gives our life a sense of meaning and direction. You might be feeling lonely, anxious, sad, confused, or unsure how to move forward. You may be feeling stuck and needing support to find your way through.
It can be daunting taking the first step and letting yourself be seen by someone, but I believe that when we create a safe, trusting space, you have the potential to transform your life, befriend your emotions, and be free to live your life on your terms.
If you decide to work with me, I will meet you with a warm, non-judgmental, and collaborative approach to our therapeutic relationship, built on respect and trust. I believe in providing therapeutic practices that move away from pathologising and instead honour each person's inherent wisdom, resilience, and capacity for healing.
Having worked across inpatient psychiatric settings, community mental health, psychosocial support services, and mental health advocacy, I understand that sometimes the mainstream medical approach can fall short. I am here to meet you where you're at — in the physical, emotional, spiritual, and mental realms — and encourage you to be your most authentic self.
Emily works with young adults and adults across the lifespan navigating anxiety, low mood, self-esteem challenges, and the pressures of modern life. Emily also sees clients with high complexities, psychosis, and offers couples therapy and family therapy.
